Virtual Pivot Point Kinematics

Aerotech’s Automation1 controller includes built-in virtual pivot point functionality. Using the transformation functions, a user can program offsets based on their desired rotation point and associate different axes of motion with specific rotations within the motion system. When an angular motion is then commanded, the linear stages will move to compensate and keep the rotation point in the same position in XYZ space.
