Aerotech has designed and manufactured rotary motors for over 40 years, and this history of expertise enables us to customize a motor ideally suited for your use at a very reasonable cost.

Changes to the encoder, housing, winding, flange, shaft and bearings are common on brush and brushless motors, as are larger or smaller OD/ID, different windings, longer stacks and higher strength magnets for frameless motors. We can customize rotary motor mechanical and electrical characteristics even for low-volume projects.

Our BM servomotors use permanent rare-earth magnets with a skewed, low-inertia rotor design to deliver high torque output, excellent torque-to-inertia ratio, minimal torque ripple and smooth velocity performance. Unlike DC brush-type servomotors, BM motors feature a low-maintenance brushless design, making them ideal for critical applications that cannot tolerate downtime.

BMS Series Brushless, Slotless Rotary Motors

Aerotech's BMS series brushless, slotless servomotors represent the ultimate in high-performance rotary motors. Available in standard NEMA frame sizes, these motors utilize a slotless stator design for superior velocity smoothness and control. Featuring rare-earth magnets and a high pole-count rotor, the BMS series provides extremely smooth velocity control in a small package. Custom mechanical or electrical variations of the BMS can be engineered with minimal lead time.
